Leonel Monterrosa and Roberto Juárez of LERO Studio and Alight’s Raquel Orellana spoke at the Cultural Center of Spain in El Salvador on June 8. They discussed their experiences with Puliendo Talentos (“Polishing Talents”), their award-winning project featured in the Ibero-American Design Biennial.

LERO Studio, working with Alight, adapted the “Essentials of Business” course methodology to formalize businesses and revitalize the local economy in vulnerable Salvadorian communities affected by the pandemic. Puliendo Talentos received the Design for Development award for its efforts in strengthening community businesses.
